“You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously.”
If there's one thing I've learned in my time around art, it's that an artist can always get some attention for incorporating pop culture into their work. From Andy Warhol to Banksy, there are examples of famous subjects spanning modern history, the collective of which wouldn't be complete without Mr. Brainwash.
A Parisian native, he moved to Los Angeles following the death of his mother in 1981. He quickly gave up attending school in favor of business and spent time organizing events throughout Hollywood. He also ran a vintage clothing business before finding graffiti in France in 1999. It was then that he learned that artist Space Invader was, in fact, his cousin. After recording his time painting, he became a documentarian, specializing in the graffiti scene and finding himself a part of it soon after.
